More Putz House fun

I love this little house! I used the Graphic 45 paper Nature's Sketchbook. I did fussy cutting and just loved the result!  I've made dozens of these little gems and they all look unique because the paper used changes the look.  Tim Holtz really made a great set of dies with this collection.

Christmas Putz house time

Each year I make a few houses for my kids for Christmas. I am making each a village of houses, each year adding to the village. I use the Tim Holtz village dwelling die sets, my own designs and Tonic house dies.  These were made using Tim Holtz die set.  I added sparkling glitter on the roof. So cute!
I  Love the paper too. It is Echo Park's A perfect Christmas paper-Berry Merry Christmas.  I added more glitter on the base, because can we have too much glitter? I think not.

Putz house fun

I love making these little beauties. This one is sold. I usually sell a few at this time of year. The roof is glittered as is the snow. Not over the top though. Inside is a battery tea light that casts a lovely glow at night. I have a village of these, each one being different.

Halloween haunted house

I had a lot of fun making this little haunted house. It's made of card stock. There is vellum in the windows which give the tea light inside a soft glow. Look closely, there is a skeleton hand coming out of the ground by the gravestone, an owl, a skull and lots of bats flying around.

Beach Putz house

I changed it up with this glitter house. It has a beach theme. I had so much fun making this one! I used sand (with gllitter) on the ground. I made tiny logs to make  log and rope fencing. The paper used is from Graphic 45, with the anchors on it.) Look close near the door- a tiny pair of flip flops! I used real and faux shells along with shell pieces. A little sign points the way to the beach. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making. Happy Crafting!

Log Cabin Putz glitter house

I am fairly obsessed with these little houses! The process is fun and I love decorating them once the houses are together. I am now thinking BEACH...how cute would that be? More to come!

Shabby Chic Glitter House

I do have a feminine side and she loves the Shabby Chic look. I had fun making this little putz house, pink Santa and all!  I added rhinestone jewelry pieces to the roof line. The entire house sparkles, the camera just doesn't pick up the sparkle.

Glitter houses aka Putz houses

I have always loved Putz houses. As a kid my neighbor had a church Putz house and I was fascinated with it. It sat on their mantle and I wanted to pick it up in the worst way. It was all glittery and I found myself staring at it. I imagined walking up to a glittered church and how wonderful that might be.

So now I make them. This one is glittered in blue glue. I love the tiled roof and the cute Santa. I used the Tim Holtz die to make this little house. More to come!  This one is blue. I added snow to the base. I leave the house unattached to the base so a battery tea light can light it up from the inside. Then the real magic begins!

First glitter house complete. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Glitter House

I have always loved glitter houses and churches. I used the Tim Holtz village BigZ die for this house.  He always seems to be so on trend.  I used chip board for this one and painted it with acrylic paints. I am making another one now out of paper. I plan on putting battery tea lights in them and adding them to my Christmas decorations I made last year.

Finally all moved in and starting to craft again

It's been a long time since I posted. Between packing, moving, closing, unpacking and nesting, I just didn't have time.  Now my new studio is set up finally. So I started crafting and it feels great! I am thinking about Christmas gifts. I am making those pretty little glitter putz houses.

Glitter house, no glitter yet
I used the Tim Holtz  BigZ die for the house and cut it out of chipboard. It's pretty sturdy. I'll try cardstock next and see which i like better. I used dimensional paint on the roof and chimney for texture. I'll post again when I add the glitter.

I ordered the add on dies to make the other houses and such....waiting patiently (read, not really) for those to arrive!  I want to make a whole village.
