I used my alcohol inks as paints this time around and tried painting with them. It's a riot of flowers. It reminds me of the poppies in bloom in France in meadows. I added gold foil as an accent and an experiment. I like the end result. what do you think?

I loved how this came out! I was experimenting with lifting off the alcohol ink using stamps and a new product called "Lift Off" by the infamous Tim Holtz. I can't wait to see what magic he shows at Creativations this week!  Anyway...this has an earthy quality. I love the brown and blue mix and the resulting greens that showed up. Its an uncontrollable medium for the most part. 

I think this will make a lovely card front.

Ink on Yupo

I love alcohol inks. They are so unpredictable and that just adds to the fun! This is my latest creation on Yupo paper using alcohol inks. I also used a liquid adhesive around the red for texture and so the foil would stick to it. When the ink was tacky, I rubbed Decofoil on top to get the shiny turquoise shimmer. Love that! I love the red and turquoise combo.

When it was all dry, I stamped the butterfly on top using Ranger archival inks. The stamp is an OLD Stampin' Up stamp that is no longer sold.

YUPO exeriments with watercolor

I played with yupo paper and watercolors last night and today. First I put down puddles of colors and introduced stencils into the puddles and let them dry over night. Today I painted flowers into areas. This is all experimental for my online class I am taking, The Year of the Fairytale with Carla Sonheim. Great class!
