The daisies are in bloom here in NY...I love daisies.
This is a watercolor painting I did a few years ago (sold it on eBay). I have not painted in awhile. I tend to go in cycles with my art. I'll get around to it again when the muse moves me there! I follow my muse. I used to try and 'force' work- but when I force the work- it just turns out terrible!  Right now I am into PAPER in a huge way- mostly scrap booking- which is new to me. I never was a scrapper until these past few months. It was this paper that captured me- and ever since, I have been on this new paper and scrap book adventure!

Beautiful watercolor Elizabeth! I love watercolors, such gorgeous colors. I was taught by a little old man many years ago (he resembled Albert Einstein - LOL). He gave us a set of watercolor tube paints and promptly removed the white tube. He firmly believed that you never used white for watercolor. He used to say the white was your paper. Joe used to say that using the paper for your white gave your painting sparkle. What a character he was.

See you on the 9th.

I completely understand! You cannot force the Muse. :) I am happiest and do my best work when i just follow the Muse...

I know what you mean by finding inspiration in paper. I've met some really cool paper in my life. Have made some myself from scratch. Paper is a fascinating subject that I wish I had more time for.
