Antique Dolls and such...

I feel like I am on a treasure hunt...recently I was contacted by a person in a round about way and was offered doll parts...lots and lots of doll parts...old and antique...I've twice now been to the "house of treasure" to cull through and remove the doll parts. WOW! So much cool doll stuff! Porcelain and composition doll parts, molds, tools, patterns...you name it, it's there. Each time I went I loaded up my car and once home, I carefully take out one box at a time and clean, dust, wash and categorize the items. I am going to bring the bulk of the items to my doll club this month and give most of it away...I live in a 2 bedroom condo and my storage options of limited. A friend of mine has offered to let me store some of it at her house- she is a fellow crafter and 'gets' the whole treasure thing. How nice!

Hi Elizabeth,Ii have to admit that there is something quite wonderful about all your doll parts and I have a fondness for some of the steam-punk art that is out there. Emphasis on "some". You could do a lot with your treasures in this area.
There is also something about them that gives me a little bit of a Steven King scare, LOL.
It is amazing how one artist can turn them into lovely antique delights and another artist can take a more bazaar path. It will be interesting to see what you do with them. They could even mint you a small fortune on e-bay.
Have a marvelous weekend.
Your blogging sister, Connie:)
