My crazy runs deep...

I'd like to introduce my latest paper doll. She is certifiable. I know there are times in my life that I am this doll- crazy and so she holds a place in my heart for sure.

She has lovely aqua glitter shoes and a sassy crown adorned with jewels. I have added a comment on her back side, but that remains a secret except to the person who purchases her. She is signed and dated on the back.

Her body is an altered playing card. I use vintage ephemera, paint, glitter, and anything not nailed down when I make my Narrative Dolls. A true labor of love. Her arms, legs and head moves. She folds up to the size of an ATC, that being 2.5" x 3/5".
I'll be listing her in my etsy shop soon.

angel ornaments for Christmas

Before I sent out a large order of my Narrative Doll series to the Art and Soul Gallery in Bothell, Oregon, I took some pictures to post here. I love how they turned out! Each one was different and unique. Here are just two from the order-

angel wings

I am making lots and lots of wings...for my Narrative Dolls series. I have an order for an art gallery in Oregon to finish...so I am knee deep in angel wings...these will go on Frozen Charlotte dolls that I bought from Germany. The dolls are over 100 years old and were excavated from the grounds of abandoned German doll factories. How cool is that??
I love larger orders of my artwork - it allows me to really PLAY with my stash to create unique pieces of art. The multi-colored wings are made with gold foil technique. The purple wings are polymer clay with mica powder and the metal wings are made from an old drawer pull that I then did some embossing.

DANCE ~ Narrative Doll listed on etsy

Dance, 3" x 15"

This new Narrative Art doll is listed on etsy. I am really enjoying making these little beauties that tell a story. The wings are so pretty- very glittery- the pictures cannot capture the GLITTER of German Glass Glitter. It is so shimmery compared to regular glitter. It also takes on a patina over time. Narrative dolls - "FREE" angel ornament

FREE, angel ornament

Free - detail

I made a group of these angel ornaments for a local boutique that sells my art. I love the wings on this one- pale blue with real German glass glitter. The picture does not show the sparkle at all on the wings! They are so glittery and glinty! I also used vintage lace, chain and a beautiful vintage glass heart charm.
