This is a watercolor that I keep going back to- I've painted this scene many times. Each time it is so different- that's the beauty of watercolor. I used salt and a wash with charged in alizarin and ultramarine to the night sky. Then I dropped from a fair height, gold mica mixed with gum arabic. Once the mica dried, I blew off the extra powder. I completed the star with a little white galaxy white pen- which is like a white gauche.
I added the saying in Photo Shop - I love the saying and it seemed to fit this painting.
