1930's child book illustration

Let's eat cake!

I love the 1930's children's book illustrations. They have an art deco feel about them. There is a certain look to the illustration of this era- hard to name it- the children all have a similar wholesome look. The adults are handsome and pretty, almost a personification of what is handsome and pretty, if that makes any sense!
