I really like all things Tim Holtz. I love his style, his grunge look and his creative 'think outside of the box' attitude. I just bought his latest workbook, A Compendium of Curiosities"...fun book! So I gathered my tools and joined an already-in-process art challenge called the CCC#9 challenge. (Compendium of Curiosities Challenge, 9th week)
This week it's about using the distress crackle paint. I used the broken china crackle paint on he tag itself and the heart. For the swirl, I used Tim's technique of faux rust- love the result!

Beautiful tag! Love your crackled background and the ribbon you chose is perfect. Glad you came out to play, This is a fun challenge!
Liz, welcome to the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge! What a gorgeous debut, too-- your sweet, crackled tag is absolutely stunning! The background is vintage-chic perfection, and the faux rust is such a great compliment to the colors and textures you created!
Thanks so much for joining in, and I hope very much to see you again next week!
