After watching Pam Carriker's newest video about self portraits, I used her technique to draw this image. She is one of those goth/heroin fashion models, and to me, she looks very tired and weary...and that is exactly how I feel about winter- weary and tired. So, this is not a self portrait in the strict sense, but this is a portrait of my feelings about this 2011 winter of winters. Spring can't come soon enough...

I know that Gothic feeling... especially on the days the sun doesn't grace us with its presence. Hang in there. Only a few more weeks.. maybe days, if we're lucky!
Around here, we probably have a good month left--it's that last lap that always seems the longest :)
I want to try Pam's technique--I love this look!
Beautiful! You did a great job on this page. She does portray your weariness of the long winter.
