My first painted doll head...not pretty and her face looks dirty. I learned a lot from her.
I tried painting her face with a few coats of Golden's acrylics and then after 3 coats, I then blushed her with chalk pastels and a brush. Then I painted her eyes and lips. I finished her with triple thick gloss on eyes and lips, for a shiny look. I need to put some protective coating on the rest of her- not sure what to use...mat medium?? If anyone has answers, I'd love to hear them!

i think she's amazing!
hair would transform her - and bring out her personality...
Yes Claire, I think hair would help her- I'll be adding some soon.
Thanks for your feedback!

What is her name? I can see her standing over a bunch of plants and brushing off her cheek...that's how the dirt got there in my mind =-)
This is so realistic looking...I hope you'll post a photo when it's complete.
I actually like to use a spray coating on my doll parts. Sometimes matte, sometimes glossy depending on the look I'm going for. She looks good! Add some hair and I bet you will see a BIG difference! Wonderful work!
