pages from an evelope

Using a letter sized plain white envelope, I created this interactive page that I will be able to tip-in to a journal, scrapbook or what have you. The top image shows that there are three pockets for tags- two on the right side and one on the top. The back side (adventure) doesn't have any pockets. The front is various collaged papers. The back is cut from 7-Gypsies 8x8 paper.

Brimming with forgotten gifts...

Brimming with forgotten gifts - BLOOM

This paper doll I just finished speaks to most women I know. So often we get lost in the daily goings on of an ordinary day. We go to school, get married, get jobs, raise children, take care of elderly parents. It's so easy to lose ourselves in all of this.

This doll reminds me that we all have gifts- wonderful, unique gifts. I believe that each of us are given gifts by God. I also believe that it is our 'job' to find out what these gifts are. It's an expedition into ourselves, digging deep to find the nuggets of our golden gifts.

What are your gifts and how do you use them?

cats still rule

I received some feedback that the watermarks on my last post were too busy and distracting from the actual collages- so I re-posted them without the watermark at all. I do like to put something on my artwork, as I have found it being misused here and there...sad but true...anyway...here they are again, sans the busy watermark...hope this looks better!
